5/15/2012 · Caught somewhere between showing their age and showcasing their experience, Hot Water Music makes their return with Exister, their first album of new material since 2004. Like running into an old friend for the first time after an extended absence, the album is recognizably HWM, while feeling different enough that it’s clear some time has passed. Stylistically, the band’s sound feels more or less.
5/14/2012 · In general, Exister loudly emphasizes HWM ’s strengths as a no-bullshit rock ‘n’ roll band, and “Mainline” opens the album as a blistering statement of intent that both evokes their earlier sound and leaves it completely behind. Likewise, the title track and “Drown in It” are classic, fast-paced rockers, with burly choruses and a locomotive’s worth of rhythmic thrust.

Ich habe mal irgendwo gelesen, HWM wäre eine Band, die man, wenn man sie erst kennen gelernt hat, gerne für sich behalten möchte… So verhält es sich für mich auch bei diesem Album… Mein Lieblingslied ist definitiv Paid in Full… oder doch alle.. Mit HWM verhält es.
